Shortbread is a traditional Scottish biscuit usually made from one part white sugar, two parts butter, and three parts plain wheat flour. Other ingredients like ground rice or cornflour are sometimes added to alter the texture.

100g Flavoured Whipping it Up Mixture flavour of choice
30ml Warm (Room Temperature) Water
100g Soften Unsalted butter or salted if you prefer less sweet.
200g Plain flour plus a little extra for dusting your worktop.
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
Top Tip
The thinner you roll your biscuits the crunchier they will be.
You can now use to decorate with Royal Icing or sugarpaste.
You can also you deep silicone moulds like Karen Davies moulds to push in the mixture if you don’t want to roll. Tip out of the mould and refrigerate before baking. Do not bake in the mould.
