S&C Easy Bake - Chocolate Genoese Cake Mix - 1kg, is absolutely delicious, light, makes a beautiful sponge, soft and moist, and a beautiful cake for carving too.
This 1kg bag makes 2 batches of 500g, if you wish to use the bag as a whole, remember to double the water to 587g, 400g for the mix, then 174g after 4 minutes, and 100g of vegetable oil.
Recipe:
500g – Chocolate Genoese
310ml – Water (must be split into 2 parts 210ml & 100ml)
55ml – Vegetable oil
Directions:
- Place the Cake Mix, 210ml water & oil in a mixing bowl fitted with a beater.
- Mix on slow speed for 1 minute, and scrape down.
- Mix for a further 4 minutes on medium speed, and add 100ml water.
- Mix for a further 2 minutes at a slow speed.
- Divide between a muffin, sandwich, or loaf tin.
Oven Temperature:
160°C / 320°F (fan assisted 140°C / 284°F)
400g loaf cake for 40-50 mins / 120g muffin for 25-30 mins
