These cake boards measure approximately 3-4mm thick and are designed to carry lighter cakes or to build cake tiers.
These boards look extremely glamorous and are a great alternative from the card-coated silver boards. They can also compliment your cakes if you have used rose gold to decorate it.
As a rule of thumb, decorators tend to use boards that are two inches bigger than the largest cake tier. For example, if you are baking a 10 inch cake, you will need a 12 inch board.
These cake boards are made from compressed wood, and are covered with a food safe silver foil, which allows cakes to be placed on top without it touching the wood.
